WELLBEING FOR ALL LIFE: animal, human, marine and environmental to create a compassionate world for all life.  Be kind to animals, the planet, one another & yourself...

What We Do

Connecting people to the natural world through wellbeing, education & creative arts...

WELLBEING – At Haus of Conservation we believe when we consider our own wellbeing, we should take in to account the wellbeing of all life on earth and the earth itself, because without it our own wellbeing cannot exist. We deliver events, classes and workshops that focus on wellbeing and holistic practices that improve each participants wellness in a fun and relaxed environment, with the aim of inspiring the participant to connect with the natural world.

CREATIVE ARTS – At Haus of Conservation we use creative arts to entertain, educate and create change. Creative arts allow the audience or participant to engage, embody and experience the subject in ways they wouldn’t normally be able to access, which in turn creates: empathy, builds confidence, social skills, and a better knowledge of the subject from the inside out. We use creative arts in many ways from our theatrical shows which are not only a great night out, but they are also educational and often raise much needed funds for conservation causes. We also deliver workshops through dance, movement, script work, improvisation, voice work, art, music, and self-expression.

EDUCATION – At Haus of Conservation we understand education is the key to creating long term change as education creates awareness. We use different mediums to allow each person who engages with one of our events to resonate with the subject differently and we create a safe space in which they can explore in. We focus on the education of: wellbeing and nature, nature connectedness, kindness, speciesism, the importance of veganism, the natural world and its conservation issues. We create education which is factual and takes in to account "ALL LIFE" on earth and present that knowledge with solutions through: educational talks, storytelling, creative arts, wellness, and holistic approaches. We work with all age ranges and abilities.

COMPASSION CAMPAIGN - At Haus of Conservation we have a hand gesture to spread conservation kindness and awareness around the world. If you would like to take part in our campaign and receive a free shout out on our social media here is what you need to do:

  1. Take a photo of yourself performing the hand gesture (left hand up, right hand down).
  2. Make sure the photo only features those performing the hand gesture and those that wish to be in the photo.
  3. Remember we do not agree with animal selfies so make sure it's just you that stars in the photo.
  4. Email your photo to us with the country or location with the understanding this photo could be promoted across all our social media platforms, with no time limit or expiry date. If your photo is chosen it will be displayed with the message "Wellbeing for all life, be kind to animals, the planet, one another and yourself".

Below are just a few of the amazing people that have helped spread our compassion campaign around the world including: England, New York, LA, Switzerland, Australia, Maldives, Thailand, Hong Kong, Ibiza, Copenhagen, Italy, Bali, New Zealand and so many more countries.

We thank each and everyone of you... (Remember you don't have to go abroad to do this gesture, your photo could be in your home town).

We are extremely proud to partner with the below organisations and charities to form a collaborative approach in raising awareness and funds to help solve the complexed issues of conservation.

Showdown Theatre Arts

Showdown Theatre Arts is a part-time theatre school based across Surrey and West Sussex for young people who have a passion for performing. Showdown enables members to learn about the industry whilst training and exploring their talent, working alongside professional’s and working towards performances in professional theatres to gain true insight and exposure to a performing career. Many of their past students have gone on to train at top drama schools, music academies and universities across the UK and USA, while other showdown students past and current have worked professionally in Film, TV, Commercials and in the West End. The Roof of Africa School

The Roof of Africa is a Scottish registered charity that provides free education and family support to those living in poverty in Tanzania. Specifically the charity runs The Roof of Africa School in Sonu, a small rural village, set against the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. The charity began building the School in 2017 and currently teaches over 100 children across five classes ranging from nursery to Primary 4. Expansion plans are also in hand, bringing the total to 9 classes. The classes are smaller in size than government schools to enable the highest quality teaching for every student. Teaching is delivered in English, but for many pupils this is their second or even third language. In East Africa, high schools teach in English so learning from a young age can be very beneficial. Day-to-day, students are taught English, Maths and Kiswahli. Though, the children also enjoy sports, arts and singing. They love showing off paintings that they have created and welcoming visitors - usually with handmade instruments and rhymes that they have learnt! Surrounding the school are luscious green gardens, where fruit and vegetables are grown to supplement the two free meals that the students receive each day. They are nourished and looked after by the school community. Haus of Conservation is working with the Roof of Africa School by donating regular funds that supports the fruit tree and vegetable gardens to help the school become fully plant-based. The aim of The Roof of Africa School becoming fully plant-based will help educate the children to create better "wellbeing for all life", this is the message that Haus of Conservation aims to spread around the world, to create a more compassionate and stable future for all life.  - HoC social media throughout October focused on: “Working Non-Human Animals” as part of our wellbeing for all life pledge. We also shared some of our dancer and yogi class highlights, Images from the Dreams of The Wild filming and the October’s compassion campaign was from our yoga community.

- WE NEED YOUR HELP! DREAMS OF THE WILD – The Book, although we have had three hybrid offers to publish the book, I have been unable to accept due to the terms and conditions and what that may mean for DOTW in the future and how it could impact our work to make real change with DOTW. It’s been a real difficult decision to make, and everyone involved in this project knows how long and how much work has gone into this book, which is for people of all ages. Every publisher has rated the book highly unique and innovative. I personally think the artwork that also accompanies the DOTW book by Jane Beevers is stunning. So, I have launched a GoFundMe to get the book out there and if you can support in any way you can that would be amazing. Your support will really help the long-lasting impact this creative arts project could have, please click here for more details: https://gofund.me/96715a86 Everyone who donates towards to GoFundMe will be in entered into a raffle to come to the book launch event hopefully next February.

 YOUR WELLBEING

- Let’s take a moment to think about our “Environmental” wellbeing? Environmental wellbeing means safe, stable climate and surroundings of the natural world in which you can live a comfortable life. Clean air, food, water, medicine, and shelter which are all provided by the natural world which your health and wellbeing are dependent upon. An example of this: people with access to green spaces or natural nature are less likely to suffer with stress and anxiety if they have a good connection to those green spaces, because nature promotes relaxation and tranquility which is good for your mental health. People that are unable to access nature or green spaces are more likely to suffer with stress and anxiety because we are nature, and our natural being needs to be around other forms of the natural world to promote healthy self-regulation. When we look at the world and the current climate globally do you think our environmental wellbeing is safe or stable? We all have a part to play in environmental wellbeing because what happens in one part of the world affects what happens in the biosphere, “Planet Earth” as a whole. It’s also important to think about our daily choices because this affects the environmental wellbeing for all humans, fauna and flora…

- Plant Based Recipe for you try this month is Baked stuffed cabbage parcels with tomato and chilli https://www.vegansociety.com/get-involved/campaigns/vegan-thriving/vegan-thriving-recipes/baked-stuffed-cabbage-parcels-tomato-and-chilli?_gl=1*8abhi9*_up*MQ..&gclid=CjwKCAjwmaO4BhAhEiwA5p4YL3AupssbZLmN73LwX6cBhhxmsoExF5rymJm6bHyo5XTzgJDeG1rfkhoC6h0QAvD_BwE

FABULOUS FLORA FAUNA FACTS - Lets form a new relationship with the natural world…

- Did you know 28,000 plant species are currently recorded as being for medicinal use. Many of these plant species are only found within forest ecosystems.

THOUGHTFUL THINKING

“The fact is that no species has ever had such wholesale control over everything on earth, living or dead, as we now have. That lays upon us, whether we like it or not, an awesome responsibility. In our hands now lies not only our own future, but that of all other living creatures with whom we share the earth.” David Attenborough.

Thank you for supporting Haus of Conservation, may November be kind to you all….
